Wooden floor for the bathroom

 In the bathroom the wooden floor is a element of confort, if the wood chosen is appropriate it will be easy to live with.

The suitable woods
The teak of course, but also, acacia, bamboo, doussié, ipé, iroko, jatoba and many others.
The rétifiés wood (ash, beech, maritime pine, etc.) behave particularly well in wet.

 

 What surface treatment? 
 -The oil, that surface treatment best suited to the bathroom, the wooden floor may be washed with soap maintenance parquet oiled.

-The vitrification, in the bathroom, vitrification is not recommended, if you have chosen this solution it must avoid stagnant water on the floor. If your wooden floor has been varnished factory we recommend a survitrification.
The parquet deck boat

The deck boat is often a aesthetics choice, if it is done on all 4 sides of each blade it provides more watertight.


What kind of installation ?

  Laying glued wood is preferable.  We do not advise you to use laying floating in the bathroom.
