The surface treatment of your parquet
Whether you adopt a wooden floor manufactured with a factory-finish or a wooden floor that will be treated on site, choosing the surface treatment of your parquet is crucial: it will be much easier to live with, you have made the right choice.
Vitrification or varnish
Current use
Corresponds to the current use of a parquet. Some families varnish or sealer today are very resistant and easy to maintain. The varnishes are, however, susceptible to scratching and wear. To renovate your floor, you must first sand it before getting it refinished.
The oiling UV (ultraviolet drying)
Current use
Manufacturers have developed these oils to allow the parquet manufacturers to apply them and dry them as quickly as a UV varnish.
There is a mid-oil hybrid mid-varnish which has the drawback of being film-forming; it can be removed as a varnish.

Oxydative oiling (drying air)
Common use to professional use
Strength: the industrial process application oxydative oils must penetrate the oil into the wood, it is better protected.
Easy maintenance thanks to the maintenance soap. If it is regularly maintained an “oxydatively oiled” parquet shall not be re-oiled.
Current oxidative oils give the wood a natural look. The oils are available in natural or tinted various aspects of finishing our collection “Coulors of Times” is the living example.
The wax oils
Common use to professional use
Manufacturers adjoin are industrially wax, they give the wood a waxed aspect, satin.
The paint
Common use, heavy use (depending on the quality of the painting)
Usually a wooden floor is painted for practical reasons (eg gym). The paint can also create customized universes using stencils for example. It is appropriate to apply a special paint floor.
The “sealer” or hard bottom
Common use to professional use (depending on finish)
This is a wood preservative. It is used in first layer which must be completed by a finishing (vitrification, wax setting, etc …). The sealer is recommended, it will make your floor easier to live with.
The polishes wax encaustic
Very heavy duty everyday use
The wax polish can shine while cleansing, apply a sealer or better on an oil (*) it will be easier to maintain. Encaustic is still used by some people who are nostalgic for the good olden days. It is true that the rendering and the smell remain unmatched.
(*) In the event that the floor should be re oiled, the wax must first be carefully removed with a specific product.
The colors
Common use to heavy use (depending on the finish: oil or varnish)
A parquet may receive a hue in wooden tones or color, it is possible to obtain interesting decorative effects. However, a scratch, a brand will be more visible on a wooden floor stained and more difficult to fade on a varnished or oiled UV than on a oxydatively oiled parquet.
Tinted Oils offering now a large range of colors
Brushing
Common use, heavy use (depending on the finish: oxydative oil, varnish or UV oil)
To highlight the wood , the grain is practiced mechanically brushing the floor.
White lead, limed appearance
Current use
The brushing operation was performed, applying a white lead color appearance, it will then be necessary to varnish or oil the floor.
The metallization, the polishes, maintenance soap
Current use
